Burmese supari seized in Karbi Anglong

BOKAJAN, Dec 12: The police in Karbi Anglong recovered 30 sacks of illegal Myanmarese dry areca nut- Burmese supari from a truck coming from Dimapur. The police intercepted the truck at Lahorijan under Lahorijan Patrol Post on Sunday evening at around 6 pm. The truck, AS-01-PC-3178, coming from Dimapur was bound for Nagaon. The contraband is worth Rs. 1 crore in the market.

The driver of the truck identified as Iqbal Ali has been arrested.
