Chairperson, Vice-Chairman, Ward Commissioners Of Tezpur And Rangapara Municipal Board Take Oath

TEZPUR, April 12: Altogether 19 newly-elected ward commissioners along with the chairman and vice-chairperson of Tezpur Municipal Board (TMB) were sworn in at an oath-taking ceremony held at the new conference hall of the deputy commissioner’s office on Tuesday in the presence of Tezpur MLA Prithiraj Rava.

Additional deputy commissioner Pankaj Nagbanshi administered the oath to the MLA who is also the ex-officio member of Tezpur Municipal Board and also to the newly elected ward commissioners.
It may be noted that Prajnanoo Bhattacharyya (Ward No 15) and Sangeeta Ghosh Bose (Ward No 12) were unanimously elected as chairperson and vice-chairperson respectively of TMB during the course of the meeting.

Assistant commissioner and EO, TMB Barsha Talukdar and other officials were also present during the meeting.

Earlier in the day, the chairperson, vice-chairperson and members of Rangapara MB also took oath in a meeting held at the same venue. Additional deputy commissioner Pankaj Nagbanshi administered the oath to the newly elected ward commissioners on the occasion.

Hari Sadhan Das (Ward No 6) and Tripti Guha (Ward No 4) were unanimously elected as chairperson and vice-chairperson respectively. Assistant commissioner and EO, RMB, Simi Karan along with other officials of the district administration were present on the occasion.
