Majuli, March 20: Congress candidate Gaurav Gogoi, son of former Assam CM Tarun Gogoi, kicked off his campaign for the Jorhat Lok Sabha seat in Majuli on Tuesday.
The 41-year-old Congress leader began his campaign trail by crossing the Brahmaputra in a ferry accompanied by his supporters. Upon reaching Majuli, Gogoi hopped onto an open jeep, followed by his supporters on motorcycles, as they made their way around the picturesque river island, engaging with the locals and seeking their support in the election.
