DIPHU, Sept 30: One day consultation on anti-human trafficking with the theme, ‘Slavery still exist’ was organised by Karbi Anglong Baptist Convention (KABC) in collaboration with Indian Mission Coordination Committee (IMCC) held at Jirsong Asong here on Friday.
In the consultation meet, the resource person associate director, Anti-human trafficking, IMCC, Soma Chakroborty took up two sessions where he spoke on the theme and asked church leaders and members to be alert on the anti-social activities like human trafficking which have become so common now-a-days.
General secretary, KABC, Rev. Kamson Rongphar the KABC and IMCC together organised a one-day consultative meet on anti-human trafficking for church leaders and members for both Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong and Sonapur.
The purpose of organising the meet was to create awareness amongst the church leaders and members about the prevailing human trafficking that is taking place.
