The Cruiser inauguration was done by executive member (EM) of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Surjya Rongphar in the presence of EM Bili Mohan Khakhlari; Member of Autonomous Council (MAC), Shravan Telenga; chairperson of Village Development Committee, Alish Teronpi; village headmen and others.

The shuttle bus between the district headquarters Diphu and Bornirja will help the villagers in their work at the KAAC and other department offices. It has hoped that the service would help greatly the students who have been studying in various educational institutions in Diphu. The Cruiser would also help in getting better medical facilities.

With the bus, the people of the area would get access to an easy and cheap means of communication which would aid in maintaining their essential link with the district headquarters. The transportation service was demanded by the villagers of Bornija and neighbouring areas at the Chief Executive Member (CEM) of KAAC, Public Interaction Programme at Deopani two weeks ago. In this regard, the villagers expressed their gratitude to the CEM of KAAC, Tuliram Ronghang for such prompt action in solving their problem.
