DEMOW, Aug 19: The Demow Post Office organised an awareness-cum-comprehensive program, ‘Dak Chaupal’, a citizen-centric initiative by India Post, at the auditorium of Demow Press Club on Monday.
Apurba Bagchi, inspector of Sivasagar Division Post Office, discussed the aims of the meeting, while Dikshita Dutta, branch post master of Udaipur Branch Post Office, anchored the session. Mrinal Borthakur, post master of Demow Post Office, spoke extensively about the Post Office’s services, facilities, and schemes.
Pranab Borpatra Gohain, development officer of Postal Life Insurance and Rural Postal Life Insurance, highlighted that Postal Life Insurance was established in 1884 and emphasised its key feature: low premiums with high bonuses. Jagadish Dutta, assistant superintendent of Sivasagar Division Jorhat, also delivered a valuable speech during the meeting.
Mrinal Borthakur, post master of Demow Post Office, concluded the program with a vote of thanks. The event was attended by Bakul Dutta, principal of Demow Higher Secondary School, media personnel from Demow, Post Office employees, and local residents.
