GUWAHATI, Sept 19: In a significant development, Deva Prasad Deori, the deputy director of Information & Public Relations, Barak Valley Zone, Silchar, has been promoted to the esteemed position of joint director of Information and Public Relations at HQ Dispur.
An official order, bearing reference eCFNO.276865/42-A, was issued by the Secretary to the Government of Assam, I&PR and PS department on Tuesday, confirming Deva Prasad Deori’s promotion. In line with the reshuffling, Bijendra Gogoi, previously the public relations officer (P.R.O) to the chief minister, has been promoted to the role of deputy director of Information & Public Relations, Silchar, and is attached to the Chief Minister’s PR Cell.
Upon receiving this recognition, Deva Prasad Deori expressed his thoughts, saying, “Upon my previous promotion to deputy director BVR, Silchar, I joined here on November 1, 2013, and served for four years in Cachar. Subsequently, I was posted in Cachar as deputy director on April 10, 2023. Throughout my tenure, I received unwavering cooperation from the staff, and I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all the staff of this office for their dedicated efforts. I am optimistic that the staff of this office will continue to excel in their duties in the days ahead.”
