DG SSB Rashmi Shukla visits 1st Bn SSB Sonapur

Guwahati, Aug 7: Rashmi Shukla, IPS, the director general of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), visited the Frontier Headquarters SSB in Guwahati and the 1st Bn SSB in Sonapur, Assam on Sunday.

Upon her arrival, she was warmly received by RK Bhumbla, the inspector general of Frontier Hqrs SSB Guwahati, and other senior officers of SSB. At Frontier Headquarters Sonapur, Guwahati, she was welcomed with a splendid Guard of Honour. During her visit, she assessed the work and security preparations carried out by the Frontier Headquarters & 1st Bn SSB Sonapur. She emphasised the importance of effective guarding of the Indo-Bhutan border and the need for meaningful civic action programmes. Rashmi Shukla also provided necessary directions while reviewing the ongoing work.

Later, Rashmi Shukla, IPS, interacted with officers and addressed the Sainik Sammelan at 1st Bn SSB Sonapur. The visit concluded with a cultural programme and ‘badakhana’ organised at 1st Bn SSB Sonapur.
