Dibrugarh Akashvani hosts Radio Drama Festival

SIVASAGAR, Feb 29: The Radio Drama Festival – 2024, organised by Akashvani Dibrugarh Station on the occasion of its 56th anniversary, is considered to be a big inspiration for amateur drama groups in the state. The festival will be aired until March 15, and of the 13 radio plays to be aired, the play ‘Rangamancha’, written by Devabrat Barthakur and directed by Swastika Devi, will be aired on March 7 at 9.30 pm. The play was earlier staged by Shivsagar Jyoti Sangha. The play is directed by Abhinav Dev Kashyap and produced by Khurshid Ahmed.

The playwright exposes the selfishness and idiosyncrasy of a section of people in our society through the play. Debabrata Barthakur, Jadumani Bora, Abhinav Dev Kashyap, Kankana Bezbarua, Anjima Pathak, Nipa Rajkhowa, Swastika Devi, Bandana Shaikia, Sunmoy Gogoi, and Popi Das are the actors in the play.
