Dima Hasao DTF gears up for Intensified Mission Indradhanush 5.0

Haflong, July 11: The District Task Force (DTF) of Dima Hasao district convened a meeting on Tuesday to discuss the Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI) 5.0 and its aim to strengthen routine vaccination and expand immunisation coverage for children and pregnant women in the region. The meeting, held in the Officer’s Conference Hall of Dima Hasao Autonomous Council, was chaired by the principal secretary of NC Hills Autonomous Council.

During the meeting, Dr Marina Changsan, the district immunisation officer, shared that the routine vaccination process would be conducted in three rounds, scheduled for August, September, and October 2023. The first round of immunisation under Mission Indradhanush 5.0 is set to begin from August 7 to 12, 2023, followed by the second round from October 9 to 14, 2023, and the third round from October 9 to 14, 2023. These rounds aim to cover children aged 0-5 years and pregnant women in the district.

The meeting witnessed the presence of secretary Partha Johori, deputy secretaries Rebecca Changsan and Prabhat Pegu, SDM&HO Medical and Health Services Dr Leena Hakmosa, district nodal officer Dr L Veiphei, and other officials who actively participated in the discussions.

The District Task Force is committed to ensuring the successful implementation of Intensified Mission Indradhanush 5.0 in Dima Hasao district. Through this initiative, the routine immunisation process will be strengthened, and more children and pregnant women will have access to the necessary vaccinations, safeguarding their health and well-being.
