DLSA Biswanath to hold drawing contest for students ahead of Republic Day

BISWANATH CHARIALI, Jan 17: To commemorate the 77th Republic Day, the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Biswanath, will organise a drawing competition for students of Biswanath district up to Class XII on January 21.

According to a press release, the competition will be held at the District Judicial Court campus, Biswanath Chariali.

Interested students have been asked to register their names at the DLSA office on or before January 20. Participants are required to report at the venue by 12:50 pm on the day of the event, carrying their own drawing materials such as pencils, erasers and colours.

The competition will be conducted in four categories. Section A, meant for students from Nursery to Class I, will have the theme of the Indian national flag.

Section B, for Classes II to V, will focus on the national bird peacock or Republic Day celebrations at school with flag hoisting.

Section C, for Classes VI to VIII, will feature themes such as the National Emblem of India or a portrait of an Indian freedom fighter.

Section D, for students from Classes IX to XII, will include themes like the Red Fort or freedom fighters’ monuments or memorials.

The DLSA stated that the initiative aims to encourage creativity among students while fostering awareness about national symbols and the country’s freedom struggle.
