The followers of Islam, visited mosques and offered prayers. They greeted each other and wished others on the occasion of Eid. It may be recalled that like other communities the Muslims have not celebrated Eid with the community gathering together for the last two years.

In Diphu, the Muslims offered namaz at 8:30 am on Tuesday morning at Diphu mosque. The prayer was led by Alhaz Maulana Giyasuddin Kasim and he gave the Eid message as well. After the namaz, the Maulana said that he has prayed for peace, brotherhood and progress in the hill district of Karbi Anglong.

The Muslims in Diphu also offered alms to the needy on the occasion.
