EM Lunsing Teron congratulates girl for clearing NEET

DIPHU, Nov 1: Executive member (EM) of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Irrigation, Panchayat & Rural Development and Sericulture, Lunsing Teron visited the house of Menoka Beypi at Chandmari, opposite government poultry farm here on Tuesday and congratulated for her clearing the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET).
Menoka is the daughter of Khonsing Bey and Rekha Kramsapi. From primary to class 10 she studied at Badan Memorial Higher Secondary and passed her HSLC from the same school in first division with 72 percentage marks in 2019. She completed her higher secondary in Science stream from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Diphu in 2022. She secured 79 percentage marks with letter marks in Biology, Physics and English.
She appeared for BSc Nursing and cleared the exam. In August last she appeared for the NEET examination conducted by the National Test Agency and cleared this exam as well. She got placed at Tezpur Medical College for her medical studies.
Menoka said that as she came from a poor family background with no financial support, she used to give tuition to school children to find some earning source. She also used to give tuition to students aspiring for Class 6 entrance examination for admission in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Diphu.
EM Teron congratulated Menoka for her success and presented her a bouquet, a Karbi shawl, a cash award of Rs 10,000 and a mobile handset worth Rs 12,000. The EM seeing that her family condition was not that good appreciated her hard work and commitment in clearing such competitive examinations. The EM also appreciated the parents of Menoka for their support in her studies and for realising her dreams. Teron wished Menoka all the success in her medical studies.
