MARGHERITA, Nov 20: Margherita and Digboi Excise party, under the supervision of Prasanta Dutta, DSE, Margherita conducted a joint excise search, patrolling, and raid on Saturday night, where 5 number of cases were detected under the Margherita Excise Circle in areas like Bongaon, Dehing Tea Estate, Makum Qilla, Makum Pathar which falls under 124 number Margherita constituency of Tinsukia district.
At Margherita, around 35 litres of illicit liquor, fermented wash, approximately 1120 litres, and 4 number of distilling apparatuses were seized and destroyed in the raid.
Again, within Digboi Excise Circle, 3 cases were detected in the Bongaon area. Illicit distilled liquor of around 5 litres, fermented wash approximately 2000 litres and 2 distillation apparatuses were seized and destroyed by the team.
