Free eye screening camp held at Itakhola

BISWANATH CHARIALI, Jan 20: A free eye screening camp organised by Guwahati Lions Eye Hospital in association Ekal Abhiyan was held at Srimanta Sankardev Bhawan, Itakhola on Monday.

An expert team of eye specialists screened the eyes of the visitors. A total of 300 local residents thronged the eye screening camp. Out of them 200 people were detected with cataract in their eyes. The eye specialists counseled them for further process. The medical camp was attended by Firoz Doley, Kuchma Lohar, Pampi Deka, Joyram Kurmi, Pankaj Kalita, Tapan Choudhury, Goutam Sarma, Palash Kalita, Mantu Das, Gurdeep Singh among others.
