Gandhi Jayanti celebrated by Bechimari Press Club

DALGAON, Oct 3: The Bechimari Press Club marked the 154th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi with a celebration of Gandhi Jayanti. On this occasion, the club conferred the ‘Bechimari Ratna Awards’ at the Bechimari IB Meeting Hall in Darang. A solemn tribute was paid to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, who ardently strived to unite people regardless of caste, religion, race, or language.

The event was jointly hosted by Ashranul Hoque and secretary Mohibul Hoque. Three distinguished individuals who have significantly contributed to the educational, social, and economic advancement of the Bechimari area were honoured with the awards. The recipients expressed their appreciation for the Bechimari Press Club’s exceptional initiative and encouraged the continuation of such activities in the future. They said that such positive events would boost the enthusiasm of those working for the betterment of society.

Imran Ali, president of the press club, stated, “There are many individuals working for society who have not received official recognition. Our effort is to acknowledge them on behalf of society.” He further pledged the club’s commitment to continue presenting the ‘Bechimari Ratna Award’ in the future.

Among the recipients were vice principal Mazibur Rahman of Bechimari HS School, Ashad Uddin Ahmed, principal of Bechimari Jatiya Vidyalaya, Safiqur Rahman, principal of Adarsha Jatiya Vidyalaya, Kabir Inamul Nasir Ahmed, principal of Sankardeva Jatiya Vidyalaya, and Mahmadul Hussain, principal of Anchalik Jatiya Vidyalaya. The event was attended by founding secretaries of the Beslchimari Press Club Nur Alam Mollah, Habibur Rahman, ZPC Rafiqul Islam, senior journalists Pradip Ghosh, Fakhrul Islam, Riki Das, as well as various educationists, social workers, political leaders, and students.
