Gang Of Dacoits Arrested In Nagaon, Arms And Ammunition Recovered

NAGAON, Oct 29: The Nagaon police arrested a gang of dacoits along with arms and ammunition from NH 36 road on Saturday night.

Sources claimed that police recovered one 7.65 MM pistol, two rounds of live ammunition, five mobile handsets and a car bearing the registration number ‘AS 02AM 2024’ from their possessions.

According to police sources, the arrested dacoits have been identified as Inamul Haque, Rokibul Hussain, Jehirul Chaudhary, Ahidul Islam and Hibjur Rahman. The gang of dacoits was reportedly on their way from Chalchali area in Nagaon town in a private car to carry out a robbery somewhere in Hojai. The police intercepted their vehicle on the way and arrested them.
