Gargaon College Wins 2nd Best Team At Youth Fest

SIVASAGAR, April 7: Gargaon College brought glory to the district by clinching the second best team award in the Inter College Youth Festival of Dibrugarh University held at D K D College, Dergaon from April 3 to April 6.

Gargaon College team gathered 17 prizes in different categories. Ananya Gogoi, a sixth semester student stole the limelight by bagging 9 prizes in music including the ‘best singer award’. Annaprasanna Kashyap earned the first prize in dholbadon, Tribenee Baruah bagged the second and the third prize in clay modelling and installation event. Subhrajyoti Gogoi bagged the third prize in spot photography. The college team also bagged the first prize in folk song (group) and chorus and the third prize in the drama event. Dr Sabyasachi Mahanta, principal of Gargaon College said

that it was a moment of pride and elation for the college fraternity. He thanked the teachers in charge and members of the Students’ Union.
