GUWAHATI, June 21: Guwahati International Airport commemorated the 9th International Yoga Day (IDY) on Wednesday with a morning dedicated to mindfulness, physical exercise, and meditation. The airport management encouraged airport teams and all stakeholders to participate in this special event. Yoga, a spiritual practice rooted in ancient Indian scriptures, has gained global popularity as it is now taught and practiced worldwide.
Under the guidance of yoga instructors Jitendra Singh, Mukesh Negi, and Karvee Roy, the yoga team showcased various asanas (yoga poses), pranayama (breathing exercises), rhythmic chanting, and the Surya Namaskar (sun salutation). The participants, including the CISF, airport security personnel, and airline staff, wholeheartedly engaged in the yoga session with great enthusiasm. The event also featured a meditation session led by BK Vandana, accompanied by BK Parivartan and BK Nandia from the Brahma Kumari community.
