Headmaster of primary school teaches all classes in six classrooms

DEMOW, Sept 29: In a concerning incident in Sivasagar district, it has come to light that the headmaster of Borbam Sarbajanin Primary School has been conducting all classes in six classrooms. This school is located in Borbam Gaon near Demow and was established in 1982. Gobin Taye serves as the headmaster of Borbam Sarbajanin Primary School, where he is responsible for teaching all classes and managing various education department-related tasks. Taye is the sole teacher at the school and has to rush from one class to another to conduct lessons. Currently, the school has 80 students, and each class must be held in one of the six available classrooms.

Previously, there was an assistant teacher at the school, but in June, the assistant teacher was transferred to another school. Gobin Taye, the headmaster, stated that the school serves students from six different villages, and he has 80 students under his care. He said that he is the only teacher at the school and expressed his disappointment with the situation. He has reported the issue to the block primary education officer, district education officer, and has submitted an application to the district commissioner. Taye called for the prompt appointment of teachers at Borbam Sarbajanin Primary School and appealed to the chief minister and Education minister of the state for assistance.
