IIT Guwahati’s Techniche gears up for its 25th edition

GUWAHATI, Aug 30: IIT Guwahati’s much-anticipated event, ‘Techniche’, is gearing up for its 25th edition, scheduled from August 31 to September 3. From its modest beginnings, Techniche has evolved into one of India’s largest Techno-Management Fests, attracting participants from across the country.

This year’s edition promises a lineup of distinguished personalities across various domains. The event will feature appearances by Ehud Olmert, former Prime Minister, David Straily, CEO of Brinkbound Games and former product director of Valorant, David Orban, managing advisor of Beyond Enterprise, and Mohit Tyagi, director of Competishun.

Techniche’s robotics module remains a highlight, drawing engineering enthusiasts nationwide. The 2023 edition introduces engaging events including Aquawars, Robowars, Escalade, IDRL, Track Titans, Sky Sprint, and Micromouse. Of particular interest is Aquawars, a novel event where bots compete in IIT Guwahati’s administrative lake. Robowars, night drone racing in partnership with IDRL, and the 12th Escalade edition promise heightened excitement.

The Celestial Confluence Lecture Series offers a platform for emerging professionals to interact with accomplished individuals who’ve redefined progress. This year’s luminaries include David Straily, Ehud Olmert, and David Orban.

A panel discussion on ‘Beyond Reality: Exploring the frontiers of AR & VR in Metaverse’ promises insightful conversations. Esteemed panellists include Arijit Bhattacharya, Varun Khatri, Shrey Mishra, Yash Pradhan, and Prafulla Mathur, with David Orban moderating.

Nexus, the Corpo-Management Conference, returns with its fifth edition, featuring keynotes, panel discussions, hackathons, competitions, workshops, and networking sessions. Speakers like Vivek Prasad and Mohit Tyagi will contribute to enriching participants’ understanding.

Corporate Module 2023 presents opportunities for exploration and innovation, with events like Chakravyuh, Bull vs Bear, Innovación Unveil, and various hackathons, including the forward-looking Web3 hackathon, DecentralX.

TechExpo showcases the strides in technology achieved by India’s youth. The event spans diverse domains, including hardware innovations, software projects, and entrepreneurial ventures.

Techniche 2023’s outreach extends beyond its events. The festival contributes to society through initiatives such as the Guwahati Half Marathon, blood donation camp, fitness camp, and mental health workshop.

The Proshows at Techniche offer a spectrum of technical performances, visual shows, stand-up comedians, and bands, providing attendees with a rejuvenating experience.

The Techniche Team, entirely comprised of IIT Guwahati students, ensures the event’s success through a three-tier structure involving organisers, core team members, and heads of the fest.
