TEZPUR, Sept 9: The outreach programme conducted by Indian Army facilitated 25 students of Assam who were placed at various hotels across the country. Earlier in February, 2022, Indian Army organised an outreach programme for the youth for hotel management courses under Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission (ASRLM). Many students attended the event at Tamulpur and 25 selected students were enrolled. The students were sponsored by ASRLM and were further trained by Pragati Edu Tech at Silchar initially and subsequently shifted to Guwahati after the floods this year.
After the completion of the course, in the first week of September, all students were placed at renowned hotels across the country including Hyatt, Oberoi, IBIS and many others with a good pay scale.
Indian Army has also conducted various outreach programmes in Assam including Skill Development Mela, training for Agniveer recruitment and NDA/IMA/OTA entries, stated a press release.
