Dhemaji, Oct 13: The foundation day and representative meeting of Jana Jagaran Asom was held at Jagaran Bhawan in Agam Dalung, Jonai. The event, chaired by Vice President Lenin Doley, began with a one-minute silence in memory of singer Zubeen Garg.
General Secretary Vishal Brahma said Jana Jagaran Asom, formed on October 13, 2024, has completed one year and gained strong grassroots support. “Our party represents the poor and rural masses, while others remain confined to towns. Victory in 2026 is certain,” he said.
Vice President Tinku Pegu stated that the party aims to free Assam from foreign influence and bring political change by electing new representatives in the upcoming polls.
Founder President Raju Medok declared that “the battle for change will begin in Jonai in 2026.” He said people now think differently, adding, “The ₹10,000 aid for women isn’t from ministers’ pockets. Take money if offered, but vote for us. With support from 16 political parties in the Opposition Unity Forum, victory is assured.”
Over 500 members from various panchayats across Jonai attended the event, showcasing the growing strength of Jana Jagaran Asom in the region.
