Jumbo Menace in Karbi Anglong, 2 Shops Destroyed

BOKAJAN, Sept 9: A group of wild elephants demolished two shops at Kuligaon in Karbi Anglong under Eastern Division Bokajan Forest Range on Friday morning.

Three elephants attacked the market in the morning at 3 am in which shops belonging to Sarchinthong Teron and Anima Engtipi were damaged along with the goods. The shopkeepers said that the loss is estimated to be around Rs 2 lakh. The people around the market got to know of the approaching elephants and fled to safer places.
