DIPHU, Aug 18: The Department of School Education of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) has directed all schools and higher secondary schools in Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong districts to continue with the revised school timings issued earlier.
In an order issued today by the Secretary of the Department of School Education, KAAC, it was stated that in continuation of Office Order No KAAC/EDN/Edn/Misc/23/1/122, dated 10/06/2025, and in view of the prevailing spell of scorching heat wave and persistent rise in temperature across both districts, the revised school timings will remain in force.

As per the revised schedule, the timing for lower primary schools will be from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., for middle English schools from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, and for high schools and senior secondary schools from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
The order further stated that the revised timings will remain effective up to August 30, 2025, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
