DIPHU, Nov. 26: The Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Diphu, will observe the 71st death anniversary of Khorsing Terang, the first Chief Executive Member of the then Mikir Hills District Council, on November 28 at the Khorsing Terang Memorial Park (Old and New), near the CEM’s Bungalow in Diphu.
The programme will begin at 8:00 AM with the garlanding of the statue of Khorsing Terang, followed by a multi-faith prayer meeting. Klarjir Tissopi, great-granddaughter of Khorsing Terang, will offer a tribute. A Special Guest will also speak on the life and contributions of the late leader.

The second session includes an on-the-spot painting competition for students of Classes VIII to X. The prize distribution ceremony will be held at 11:00 AM in the presence of the Chief Executive Member, KAAC, Tuliram Ronghang, along with members of the Terang family.
The programme will conclude at 5:00 PM with the illumination of the Khorsing Terang Memorial Park (Old and New).
