KOKRAJHAR, Nov 5: A delegation from the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) led by Deputy Speaker Avijit Kro visited the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) on Tuesday.
The delegation was accorded a warm welcome upon their arrival in Kokrajhar.
An interactive meeting between officials of both councils was held at the BTC Secretariat Conference Hall, Bodofa Nwgwr in Kokrajhar.
The meeting was chaired by BTC Chief Executive Member Hagrama Mohilary, and attended by deputy chief Rihon Daimary, along with senior representatives from both BTC and KAAC.
During the meeting, the delegations exchanged views on governance models, development priorities, administrative challenges and welfare initiatives in their respective autonomous regions.
The discussions emphasised the need to strengthen inter-council cooperation, share best administrative practices, and explore collaborative pathways for socio-economic development.
Both sides underlined the importance of working together to address common regional issues and improving the delivery of development and welfare schemes at the grassroots level.
The meeting concluded with a mutual commitment to continue such engagements in the future to enhance coordination, regional harmony and collaborative progress across Assam’s autonomous council areas.
