DONKAMOKAM, Dec 31: “Leaving aside a few minor incidents this year, Karbi Anglong district has turned out to be the most peaceful district in the state of Assam and I wish the same to continue this year in 2018.” This was stated by KAAC CEM, Tuliram Ronghang while inaugurating the newly constructed Cafeteria at Lt Sing Ronghang memorial Park accompanied by KAAC EM, Amarsing Tisso, Veterinery Board chairman, Ditolal Hasnu, VDC Chairman Bithung Rengthama MAC Constituency Ramson Rongpi and many other dignitaries. The cafeteria was constructed by the tourism department at Tumpreng in West Karbi Anglong.
While addressing the inauguration ceremony, the CEM said, “All the underground outfits that are active presently in the district are having talks with the government since present government is interested in bringing them into mainstream.
“Development is also taking place at fast track here in our district and there will be complete change and it will be seen by us soon in coming years,” he added.
He further said that people’s mandate for ultimate change and development will not go in vain.
He also laid a series of foundation stone for brick pavement road at Tumpreng, Taradubi, Phangtengphrang, Rengthama Garo village etc. on Sunday.
