Kokrajhar DC felicitates eco-friendly Durga Puja committees

Kokrajhar, Oct 16: In a much looked forward event, the award distribution ceremony was held at the conference hall of the Kokrajhar Deputy Commissioner’s Office on Saturday to distribute prizes to the eco-friendly Durga Puja committees of the district and to felicitate the brand ambassadors of the Infrastructure Snapshot Kokrajhar App.

Deputy commissioner, Kokrajhar, Varnali Deka, delivered the keynote address and applauded the efforts of the award winning Puja committees for Best Eco-friendly Puja. She also conveyed gratitude to all Puja Committees for their cooperation in this year’s Puja.

It may be mentioned that Sarvajanin Depot Durgabari Puja Committee won the first prize, Bhavanipur Sarvajanin Durgabari Puja Committee and Subhashpolly Sarvajanin Durgabari Puja Committee adjudged the second prize while Purbajyoti Club Durga Puja Committee won the third prize. Similarly, the Bank Colony Recreation Centre Durga Puja Committee and the Gossaibaba Dham Durga Puja Committees won the Consolation Prize (Jury’s Choice). They were handed over the certificates by deputy commissioner Varnali Deka in the presence of additional deputy commissioners, assistant commissioner and other officials of the district administration.

This was followed by felicitation of the brand ambassadors of Infrastructure Snapshot Kokrajhar App for their contribution towards popularising the app among the masses. Deputy commissioner Kokrajhar appreciated their efforts and encouraged them to continue the good work in promoting the betterment of the App and contributing to making the App better.

Altogether 39 brand ambassadors were felicitated on the occasion.
