DIPHU, March 12: Karbi Students Association (KSA- Jemson Timung), Diphu district committee (DDC) is carrying out postering in the streets of Diphu against Executive Member (EM), Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) Amarsing Tisso for his alleged rampant corruption in the four lane road construction on NH-36 between Parokhuwa and Dillai stretch in Karbi Anglong district.

The KSA- Jemson Timung poster called for a torch light procession on March 15, 21 and 28 in Diphu, Manja and Disobai to expose Tisso’s alleged corruption in the said road construction work. The KSA demanded immediate compensation to all the affected land owners who are still deprived of compensation, resignation of Tisso from his EMship and disciplinary action to be taken by KAAC authority action against concerned officers who are involved in the anomalies in the four lane construction work.
President, KSA, DDC, Bishnuram Phangcho said, “The KSA- DDC has taken out postering from Dissobai to Diphu against EM Tisso as he is involved in rampant corruption in the four lane construction along NH-36 between Parokhuwa to Dillai stretch. We have started postering from yesterday, but today it is seen that some of EM Tisso’s men tore the posters we have pasted.”
Phangcho said, “We want EM Tisso to resign from his EM post as he has encouraged the officers to indulge in corruption. Stringent action should be initiated by KAAC against all those officers involved in the corruption.”
Phangcho also informed that a torch light procession will be taken out at Diphu on 15, 21 in Manja and 28 of March at Disobai. In the torch light procession the KSA will expose the rampant corruption of Tisso. Postering will continue.
