Publicity secretary of KSA, Moniram Teron after lodging an FIR, said, “A Tribal Conference was held at Government Boys HS School playground, Diphu yesterday. In the conference, a person named Dr. Gyanendra Barman gave a provocative statement and hurt the sentiments of the people of Karbi Anglong people. The KSA has lodged an FIR with Diphu Police Station for making such provocative statements.”

“Dr. Barman dared to talk about the rights of Scheduled Tribes. He is a man of the Aryan race and how dare he talk about the rights of tribal people. He doesn’t have the constitutional right to give such a comment on Scheduled Tribes. We vehemently condemned his statement and appealed to the Government to terminate his job as a Professor of Cotton University, Guwahati,” Teron said.

He also said the KSA will never accept such a Professor who spreads hatred among tribal people as he doesn’t know to respect the sentiments of the tribal people and urged the law and order authority to take stern action against him.
