The protest by KSA and locals was held at Langthat. The protesters with banners and placards shouted slogans against the local member of autonomous council (MAC), Pawan Kumar Rai. They shouted slogans of “Pawan Kumar Go Back”, and “No Road, No Vote”.

It may be mentioned that for so many years the Kheroni-Jirikindeng road has been in disrepair. The people of West Karbi Anglong from areas Amreng, Koka, Arlongpharla, Jirikindeng and even people from Meghalaya are forced to use the road. Due to the bad condition of the road the locals have been facing a harrowing time.
