Labourers’ Signature Abhijan 2023 commences

DEMOW, Sept 14: The Labourers’ Signature Abhijan 2023 program commenced under the patronage of ATTWA, Sivasagar district, ATTWA, Demow Regional Committee, ATTSA, Demow branch, as well as sub-branches, in association with Tea Labourers People at Athabari Tea Estate Kaliapani Branch on Thursday. The labourers’ demands included providing Bhumi Patta (land ownership rights) to tea labourers who have been residing in their quarters for an extended period. They also called for an increase in the daily wages of tea laborers to Rs 351. Biswanath Nag, secretary of ATTSA, Demow branch, stated that this program would be conducted in every tea estate.
