During the meeting, the Minister closely reviewed the status of several flagship programmes, including the Tea Garden Labour Welfare Scheme, the Jal Jeevan Mission, and the Mid-Day Meal Scheme.
He stressed the importance of timely implementation, consistent monitoring, and periodic evaluation to ensure effective service delivery and tangible benefits for the public.
Special emphasis was placed on the welfare of tea garden workers.
The Minister directed officials to ensure that workers receive their provident fund and gratuity benefits without delay.
He also highlighted the need to provide access to clean drinking water in tea garden areas under the Jal Jeevan Mission and urged officials to expedite work in this regard.
The meeting was attended by the District Commissioner, Additional District Commissioners, and representatives from tea gardens and other stakeholders.
Minister Gowala called upon all departments to work in close coordination to ensure the efficient rollout of government schemes and to address any implementation challenges promptly.
