DONGKAMUKAM, Jan 29: A boy student of class VI was found hanging from a tree in the morning hours at Ghelani in West Karbi Anglong. It is suspected to be a case of suicide. The deceased minor was a boarder in the hostel of Holy Child Home Academy. Preliminary information said that knowing the deplorable financial condition of the boy’s family the minor was given free schooling and hostel facilities by the school authorities since 2009.

It is alleged that the minor used to take intoxicants that the school authority came to know. He was recently reprimanded and warned about it by someone from the school authority.
