MLA Teron Distributes Scooters To 90 Shgs Under ASRLM’s Sakhi Express Scheme

BAITHALANGSO, Sept 29: Baithalangso MLA, Rupsing Teron on Wednesday last inaugurated the Asomi Xarodiya Mela organised by Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission (ASRLM) and District Mission Management unit, Hamren, West Karbi Anglong district, held at Serdihun Aklam, Baithalangso on Wednesday.

In the programme the SHG extended thanks to MLA Teron as the State Government has taken up various schemes for development of SHGs and could begin their own activities. There are 31 stalls put-up by SHG selling various products.

On Thursday MLA Teron distributed scooters to 90 SHGs under Sakhi Express Scheme, Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission (DMMU).

The programme was attended by DC, West Karbi Anglong, Krishna  Baruah, ACS; project director, DRDA, Karbi Anglong, Shashi Kanta Timung; district project manager, Dr. Mridula Thakuri; district function experts (Social Mobilisation) Cheratin Teron; district function experts (Skills) Prakasah Kispotta; district accounts manager, Mary Mirdan Beypi.
