Booth empowerment meeting of  BJP held in Tezpur

Tezpur, Jan 11: “Narendra Modi will be the Prime Minister once again.  It is as true as daylight,” declared Pijush Hazarika, Minister of Water Resources, I&PR, Parliamentary Affairs, Social Justice and Empowerment and the Guardian Minister for Sonitpur here on Wednesday.

Hazarika made this statement while attending a  booth empowerment meeting of the party  organised by the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party), Tezpur Pub (East) and Paschim (West) Nagar Mandal  under Tezpur Assembly Constituency at Hem Barua Bhawan here.

The minister urged all the party workers to continue to serve the party  and the people with utmost dedication  by following the motto of ‘Service is Organization’. The meeting discussed the organisational aspects of the party and various ways and means to strengthen the party at the booth level as presently the BJP is focusing more on the booth level .

In responses to questions from the media, the minister said the constituency-delimitation  process should have been done in 2007-08 during the Congress government but it was not carried out.  Flaying the Congress and the AIUDF, Hazarika said, “The people of Assam have nothing to achieve from both the  Congress and the AIUDF.” The minister also vehemently criticized the Congress-led ‘Bharat Jodo’ programme during the interaction with journalists.

Among the dignitaries attending the meeting  were Batas Orang, president of the BJP Sonitpur district committee; Nabajyoti Lahkar and Ratan Roy — presidents of  two mandal committees; Hiranya Bhuyan and Prajnyanu Bhattacharyya, — booth level and Shakti Kendra office bearers and members  of the BJP.
