DIPHU, Jan 24: The Election Commission of India is celebrating the 13th National Voters Day (NVD) on January 25, 2023. The theme for this year’s National Voters Day (NVD) ‘Nothing like voting, I vote for sure’ envisages focus on ECI’s commitment to facilitate active participation of voters during the elections and to make the complete process hassle free and a memorable experience for all categories of voters.

In view of National Voters Day 2023, the Karbi Anglong administration is also celebrating the event at the deputy commissioner’s office on January 25 from 1:30 pm. Since 2011, National Voters’ Day has been celebrated on January 25 every year across the country to mark the foundation day of the Election Commission of India, i.e., January 25, 1950. The main purpose of the NVD celebration is to encourage, facilitate and maximise enrolment, especially for the new voters. Dedicated to the voters of the country, the day is utilised to spread awareness among voters and for promoting informed participation in the electoral process.
