NDRF trains CRPF personnel in life saving techniques

GUWAHATI, July 29: A team of qualified instructors of 1ST Battalion National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) are imparting Flood rescue techniques & motorised boat handling & maintenance training to 30 personnel of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) deployed in Assam from July 23 to August 4 at Palasbari, Mirza in Guwahati. The subjects which were covered during the training are flood rescue techniques, boat handling & maintenance etc.

NDRF team is imparting training to CRPF personnel on how to rescue drowning victims & provide pre-Hospital treatment. The objective of the training is to prepare the CRPF personnel to respond/rescue people during flood emergencies.

With a target to train 90 personnel of CRPF, 1st Battalion NDRF has already trained 30 personnel of CRPF in the 1st batch from July 2 to July 14. The 2nd batch of 30 personnel of CRPF is undergoing & 3rd batch of 30 personnel is scheduled from August 6 to August 18 in flood rescue techniques & motorised boat handling & maintenance training.
