BISWANATH CHARIALI, April 21: Adding technology in the field of agriculture and reducing production cost, now onwards, drones may be used for spraying medicines in the agri-fields. As per the directives received from the Central government, a drone flew in the sky of Biswanath Chariali. In this regard, an exhibition and training programme was held at north-eastern region Farm Machinery Training & Testing Institute located at Biswanath Chariali from Tuesday to Thursday. During this session, engineers from Garuda Aerospace Company Harshabardhan and Srinivas Reddy imparted training for the engineers, technicians and employees. The concluding session that was held on Thursday was attended by Munindra Nath Nagtey, deputy commissioner of Biswanath; Dr RN Barman, dean of College of Agriculture, Biswanath; Dr Pallab Samrna, Nikhilesh Barua, KK Nagley, JP Mandal, Dipak Badoi, SG Power besides others.
