GUWAHATI, Aug 19: NFR has decided to extend the service of special train between New Tinsukia and Dhubri for another three months in both directions. This extension will serve the purpose of passengers who travel frequently from upper Assam to lower Assam via north bank of Brahmaputra for work and medical emergency.
Accordingly, train no 05922 (New Tinsukia – Dhubri) Special will depart from New Tinsukia at 2.30 am on every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday from August 20 till November 19 to reach Dhubri at 4:30 am on next day. In return direction, train no 05921 (Dhubri – New Tinsukia) Special will depart from Dhubri at 5:00 am on every Wednesday, Friday and Monday from August 21 till November 20 to reach New Tinsukia at 10 pm on the same day.
During it’s both ways journey, the special train will run via Dhemaji, Vishwanath Chariali, Udalguri, Rangiya Jn., Nalbari, Tihu, Pathsala, New Bongaigaon, Sapatgram and Gauripur stations. Consisting of 15 coaches, the train will have AC 3-tier, sleeper class and general second-class coaches for the passengers.
