KOKRAJHAR, May 19: The Executive Council meeting of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) was held in the conference room of Bodoland Territorial Council Legislative Assembly on Thursday. The meeting discussed various issues and courses of action to be taken to uplift and develop the BTC districts.
The meeting was chaired by Bodoland Territorial Region chief executive member Pramod Boro where all executive members, secretaries and other officers of the BTC government participated.
During the meeting, several major decisions were approved including allotment of land for construction of ‘National Institute of Technology’ at Udalguri as per BTR accord; construction of open culture stage in the name and style of ‘Jwhwlao Nileswar Brahma Jousrang’ at village level in memory of Bodo legendary artist Jwhwlao Nileswar Brahma; creation of new revenue circle at Salbari division of Baksa district in BTR under the Land Revenue & Disaster Management Department (LR&DM); construction of new Circuit House at Patharghat, Kokrajhar.
