NTPC Bongaigaon bags prestigious awards in CSR & environment protection

KOKRAJHAR, Aug 26: NTPC Bongaigaon has bagged two prestigious awards by the Greentech Foundation. The power station bagged the trophy in the environment protection category at 22nd Annual Greentech Environment Award 2022 and in rural development category at the 9th Annual Greentech CSR India Awards. Ekonthung Ngullie, AGM (EMG) and Shashi Shekhar, AGM (HR) received the award in a presentation ceremony held at Guwahati on August 24.

Ravi Shankar Prasad, IAS, additional chief secretary, Environment, Govt. of Assam; S. Lakshmanan, IAS, secy of Industries, Commerce, Industry and Public Enterprise. Govt of Assam, Dr. Arup Kumar Mishra, chairman, Assam Pollution Control Board, Kamleshwar Sharan, chairman and CEO, Greentech Foundation, Kiran DM, CEO, ONGC Foundation.

Greentech Environment Awards 2022 were presented in recognition of responsible, innovative practices and initiatives towards achieving sustainable goals that minimise carbon footprint, improves environmental protection, and creates long-lasting changes for the benefit of the environment we work and live in.

Subrata Mandal, executive director, NTPC Bongaigaon congratulated the employees and the departments for the achievement and encouraged them to continue the good work.
