NTPC Bongaigaon triumphs with multiple Gold awards at QCFI CCQC 2024

KOKRAJHAR, Oct 1: NTPC Bongaigaon Salakati has achieved a remarkable feat at the Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI) CCQC 2024, with four of its teams securing Gold awards for their innovative solutions to critical challenges.

Team U-235 from the Chemistry department, led by Shyamal Banerjee (facilitator), Apurbajyoti Das (leader), Anamika Dutta, Subhadra Basumatary, and Bidyut Debnath, addressed the ‘Frequent Unavailability of CW Chemical Dosing System’ at the Kolkata Chapter on September 24, 2024 and won Gold.

Team Synchrony from C&I Maintenance and Operation Gr-B, featuring Md Mukaram Qureshi (facilitator), Gaurab Baruah (leader), and Gunjan Rabha, tackled the ‘Frequent Non-Availability of Mills Due to Thrust Bearing Temperature Failure’ at the Kolkata Chapter on the same day, earning a Gold award.

Team Lakshya from Operation Gr-D, including Aditya Nivsarkar (facilitator), Ram Ratan Barman (leader), Animesh Halder, Gakul Kumar Ray, and Kwmdwn Basumatary, presented their solution to the ‘Frequent Overflow of Bottom Ash Overflow Tank’ at the Varanasi Chapter on September 29, 2024, securing another Gold.

Team Samadhan, composed of members from the Hospital, IT, and Store departments—Bharti Daniel, Ashish Daniel, Puran Pandit, and Sumanta Kumar Sahu—won Gold at the Pune Chapter on September 20 and 21, 2024 with their project on the ‘Difficulty for Safe Keeping of Medical Oxygen Cylinders in Oxygen Plant During Refilling of Oxygen Cylinders’.
