Throughout her career, she served as a teacher at Khanaguri Government JBS, Solal Gaon Government JBS, and retired from Nalbari Government JBS. Bimala Phukan was deeply involved with numerous socio-cultural organisations in the greater Sootea area, leaving a lasting impact on the community.
