JORHAT, Nov 18: Patal Kaal, a detective novel written by Santanu Puzari, was released on Monday at the premises of the Jorhat Book Fair. The book was formally inaugurated by Santanu Tamuli.
Biraj Kumar Baruah delivered the welcome address and honoured the guest with a gamosa. Releasing the novel, Santanu Tamuli appreciated the initiative of the writer and appealed to everyone to read the novel. He also emphasised the writer’s spirit in undertaking such creative work despite a busy schedule.
Senior journalist Sankab Kaushik Baruah narrated the background and theme of the novel, as well as the life and works of the writer. Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, MP of Kaziranga Parliamentary Constituency, spoke briefly about the current state of literature.
Journalists Lalit Bora, Niranjan Mahanta, Ashok Boruah, Ananta Narayan Borthakur, and many other dignitaries were present at the program.
