Periodicity extension of special trains to benefit waiting list passengers

GUWAHATI, Dec 3: In response to the increased demand from passengers, NF Railway has decided to extend the services of several special trains. These trains will continue to operate on their existing days of service, with unchanged timings, stoppages, and composition. Additionally, a new special train route between Kamakhya and Delhi has been introduced for a single trip.

The extension includes Special Train No. 08047 (Santragachi – Guwahati), which will continue its services from December 1 to 29, 2023. Departing from Santragachi every Friday at 6:00 PM, it will reach Guwahati at 3 PM the following day. Similarly, Special Train No. 08048 (Guwahati – Santragachi) will see an extension from December 2 to 30, 2023. Departing from Guwahati every Saturday at 4:45 PM, it will reach Santragachi at 12:30 PM the next day.

The extension also covers Special Train No. 03103 (Sealdah – New Jalpaiguri), running from December 2 to 30, 2023. Departing from Sealdah every Saturday at 11:40 PM, it will reach New Jalpaiguri at 10:45 AM the next day. Likewise, Special Train No. 03104 (New Jalpaiguri – Sealdah) will be extended from December 3 to 31, 2023, departing from New Jalpaiguri every Sunday at 12:45 PM and reaching Sealdah at 12:30 AM the next day.

Special Train No. 07046 (Secunderabad – Dibrugarh) will continue its services from December 4 to January 29, departing from Secunderabad every Monday at 11:00 AM and reaching Dibrugarh at 8:50 PM on Wednesday. Similarly, Special Train No. 07047 (Dibrugarh – Secunderabad) will be extended from December 7 to Feb 1, departing from Dibrugarh every Thursday at 09:10 AM and reaching Secunderabad at 4:30 PM on Saturday.

Furthermore, Special Train No. 05624 (Kamakhya – New Delhi) will make a single trip on December 4, departing from Kamakhya at 11:00 PM and reaching New Delhi at 12:00 PM on December 6 December 2023. In return, Train No. 05623 (New Delhi – Kamakhya) will run for a single trip on December 6, departing from New Delhi at 3:10 PM and reaching Kamakhya at 03:30 AM on December 8.

Another special train, No. 05626 (Kamakhya – Delhi Jn.), will operate for a single trip on 9th December 2023, departing from Kamakhya at 06:30 AM and reaching Delhi Jn. at 9:45 PM on 10th December 2023. In the return direction, Train No. 05625 (Delhi Jn. – Kamakhya) will run for a single trip on 11th December 2023, departing from Delhi Jn. at 07:35 AM and reaching Kamakhya at 10:45 PM on 12th December 2023.

However, due to the potential adverse effects of Cyclone MICHAUNG hitting the coastal part of Andhra Pradesh, Train No. 22504 (Dibrugarh – Kanyakumari) scheduled to commence its journey on 2nd and 3rd December 2023, Train No. 12510 (Guwahati – SMVT Bengaluru) on 3rd and 4th December 2023, and Train No. 15630 (Silghat Town – Tambaram) on 8th December 2023 have been cancelled.

Passengers are advised to verify the details of stoppages and timings on the IRCTC website and various newspaper and social media platforms of N.F. Railway before undertaking their journey.
