PM Modi releases 18th installment of PM KISAN for Farmers

Karbi Anglong celebrates the occasion with live webcasts across eight ADO circles

DIPHU, Oct 05: Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 18th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM KISAN) on Saturday, benefiting farmers across India.

The announcement was made during a grand Kisan Sammelan at 12 PM, broadcast live from Washim, Maharashtra.

In Karbi Anglong district, the Department of Agriculture organized a live webcast to mark the occasion at various venues in eight Agriculture Development Officer (ADO) Circles. The designated locations for the event included the DAO Office Conference Hall in Diphu, Tarabasa Seed Farm, and Forest IB in Kat Teron, CSC Chokihola, BRC Dokmoka, Howraghat Block Campus, and ADO Office in Sarihajan.

Farmers in Karbi Anglong were encouraged to attend the event to celebrate this milestone and connect with their peers. A total of 21,913 farmers in the district are set to receive the 18th installment under the PM KISAN scheme, which aims to provide direct financial support to eligible farmers to enhance their livelihoods.

The PM KISAN initiative has been pivotal in supporting farmers financially, enabling them to invest in agricultural inputs, improve their productivity, and secure a better standard of living. The ongoing support from the government through such schemes reinforces the commitment to uplifting the farming community in India.
