Pre-Gunotsav held in Sivasagar schools

SIVASAGAR, May 16: Pre-Gunotsav was held on Thursday in all the educational institutions from primary to higher secondary in the four educational blocks in Sivasagar. It is like the final rehearsal for the forthcoming Gunotsav that is to be held for the second phase in Sivasagar district on May 23, 24, and 25. Altogether 72,655 students will take part in the final phase of the evaluation in the district of which 22,944 students belong to Demow block, 16,410 numbers from Amguri block, and 11,393 are from the Kheluwa block and 21,908 students are from Nazira block. Of the 327 schools that are to be covered under the Gunotsav, 995 schools are primary, 179 ME schools, and 153 schools are high secondary and higher secondary. The number of external evaluators appointed for the purpose is 1,327. It may be mentioned that the Sivasagar district secured the first position in both the Gunotsav held earlier.
