TEZPUR, March 31: Eight Brothers Social Welfare Society, a non-governmental organisation operational in Sonitpur district successfully completed the pre-vocational training programme held under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Mission on Wednesday. The objective of the programme was to provide pre-vocational training to the learners of Special Training Centers that fall under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Mission, Assam. It was conducted in 7 lower primary schools in two blocks of Sonitpur district namely Balipara and Naduwar block during the period from March 1 to 30. The training included activities like toy making, craft work and various fine arts. For effective deliberation of the programme, Eight Brothers Social Welfare Society provided required resources and materials including hiring of professionals. Among others, Shyamalima Baruah, coordinator of Specialised Adoption Agency, Rakesh Das, social worker of Specialised Adoption Agency, Sonitpur, Biman Nath, counsellor, Family Counseling Centre, and Chandana Kashyap, project director of Ujjawala Scheme effectively cooperated to make the programme successful.
